I bought Henry a doll house today. We need more interactive toys around here, more means of drawing on Henry's imagination. I found a decent wood one at Target for a reasonable price, but it's a bit on the girly side: pink roof and trim, kind of gingerbread-style. Why? Why not something gender-neutral, like green?
I guess only girls are supposed to be interested in this stuff, although you'd think that the doll house and its resident family are merely a training ground for later scenarios, like GI Joe's base camp, where the guys bash each other in the head and leer at Barbie. It all starts in the home, folks.
That sounds like a fun project waiting to happen though... You could totally paint it all manly-like! I'm thinking Camo with hunter orange trim...
